Aircon condensate pumps are centrifugal pumps that collect and disperse the condensation (water) generated by climate control systems.

All air conditioners create condensation as a by-product of cooling because they cool down a room by reducing humidity. Dehumidification produces water and must go somewhere; ideally, you want it removed from the house. 

An aircon condensate pump runs intermittently. Aircon systems have a collection tank where water accumulates. When it reaches a certain level, a floating switch activates the pump.

The pump removes the water from the tank, leaving space for further collection.
