Maxi Pumps
High-Capacity Condensate Maxi Pumps
A condensate pump is a centrifugal pump that collects and water and liquids from the condensation process in heating or cooling systems. These include gas and oil condensing boilers, refrigerated air production, air conditioning and refrigeration, air dehumidifiers and evaporators, and steam produced by heat exchangers and radiators.
The way a condensate pump works is simple. They work intermittently and comes with a collection tank where all the condensed liquid can collect. Once the liquid in the tank reaches a certain level, a float switch automatically turns on, activating the pump. The condensate is pumped out of the tank until the liquid reduces, making room for more.
As the name suggests, maxi pumps are larger than their mini counterparts and hold more liquid. They can handle a lot of condensate water, making them ideal for larger HVAC systems or commercial applications.
